The Grenoble Company Airstar (49 employees) won the 2009 SME «International Chamber of Commerce China» Award. Airstar is the inventor and world leader of lighting balloons used in the cinema industry.

The jury noticed the partnership between the company and famous movie actor Jackie Chan, this collaboration enabled Airstar to grow in the Chinese market.

This Award was given on December 8th at the Havre, during the business convention China Europa 2009, under the patronage of Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment Christine Lagarde, and the presence of Antoine Rufenacht, the Havre Mayor and Kong Quan, China Ambassador in France.
